It is cliche to say, “a new year, a new beginning”, but I’ll be continuing from where I left off last year, rather than starting a clean slate. After all, last year wasn’t a bad year at all.

I spent the last day of 2008 doing something I have not done for the last one year and something that I will probably not be doing again at least for the next 6 months: being idle. It was great to say the least. I missed being a couch potato.

The feeling of a new year is not even settling in yet, but I will already be on the move tomorrow as I head to Ipoh for the Rotary Conference. Barely a week after returning from Ipoh, I will be on a road trip with the ATC Rotaracters to Penang. Then, I’ll be the last week of the first month in 2009 back in Teluk Intan, catching up with some old pals.

As usual, it’s gonna be a “backpacking year” again. Already, I can’t wait for March
